Agghhh....it's so hard to talk about the end of this book - the final few pages are quietly devastating.and change your perspective on everything.

DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC - I was completely blindsided and had to do some intense sniffling and blinking hard out the window to prevent disgracing myself entirely on the train. All I can say is that if you haven't finish reading 'The Blue Book' yet keep going but be prepared for an emotional wallop.
There's really nothing else to say but keep reading and finish the book if you haven't already.

Other books to read if you enjoyed 'The Blue Book':

The Daylight Gate by Jeanette Winterson - Based on the Pendle witch trials of 1612, an extraordinary story of magic, superstition, and ruthless murder.

Last Orders by Graham Swift - Winner of the Booker Prize in 1996 and  a funning and moving rumination on death, life, love, parenthood and childhood.
